(Charlotte, NC) - Atlante FC, a Mexican first division professional team will be coming to Charlotte for an exhibition match with the Charlotte Eagles. The Inter-American Sport Organization (IASO) has arranged the international friendly which will take place on Saturday, July 12th at Memorial Stadium in uptown Charlotte. Kickoff time is 8:00pm and will be preceded by the Lady Eagles exhibition match against an IASO Select Hispanic Women's team at 5:30pm.
The Charlotte Eagles are excited about the opportunity to once again face a quality Mexican club such as Atlante FC, after the success of last years exhibition match with Puebla FC. Atlante FC is visiting the United States for a two week preseason tour which will include exhibition matches with the Atlanta Silverbacks and the Charleston Battery in addition to their visit to Charlotte with the Eagles. Atlante FC has been a successful club in the Mexican First Division, and placed second last season. Charlotte Eagles midfielder Leo Gajardo will face fellow Chileans Luis Ignacio Quinteros and Sebastián 'Chamagol' González of the Atlante Club.
